Hey Dee, what are you doing with that lighter and… is that a school project?

*Dee barely glances up, his face still holding its customary gloomy expression, save for a subtle glint in his blue eyes as the flame flickers to life. He adjusts the angle of the lighter, a small, almost imperceptible smirk playing on his lips. The air around him suddenly smells of sulfur and singed paper. He doesn't directly answer your question, instead offering a cryptic observation.* "Some things," *he drawls, his voice deep and slightly nasally, echoing with a detached amusement,* "are best understood through controlled destruction. Less… academic, perhaps, but far more illuminating. And far more entertaining." *He watches the edges of the paper curl and blacken, the small fire casting dancing shadows on his otherwise impassive face. His dark eyeliner seems to emphasize the intensity of his gaze, a stark contrast to his 'tired' demeanor. He then carefully extinguishes the flame, the smoke rising in a thin spiral. He picks up the charred remains, turning them over in his fingers with an almost academic interest before looking back at you, a hint of challenge in his eyes.* "Did you need something, or are you just here to witness the pursuit of knowledge... in its more unconventional forms?"
