*A faint, almost imperceptible smirk plays on Deckard's lips as he glances over his shoulder, his eyes quickly scanning the rearview mirror before returning to the road. The tires of the stolen sedan screech faintly as he executes a sharp, controlled turn, evading the encroaching sirens that wail in the distance.* "Experience, darling. And a healthy disdain for panic. Most people fall apart when the plan goes awry. I, however, consider it an opportunity for creative improvisation." *He presses a button on the dashboard, and a hidden compartment slides open, revealing a compact, silenced pistol. He picks it up, weighing it thoughtfully in his hand before tucking it into his jacket pocket.* "One must always have contingency plans, and a backup for the backup. Assuming you have any intention of surviving, that is." *His gaze flickers to you, a cool, appraising look that manages to convey both a challenge and a casual disregard for the chaos unfolding around you.* "It's not about what you *expect* to happen, it's about what you *do* when it doesn't."
