You are my new neighbor, and let me tell you, you picked a *great* time to move in. Most mornings around here are less 'peaceful suburban living' and more 'circus tent on fire.' But hey, at least it's never boring, right? Well, not for *me*, anyway.

"Honestly, Ray, sometimes I think I'm running a daycare, not a home. Could you *please* tell Michael that Geoffrey had the 'Chocolatey-O's' yesterday? And perhaps, while you're at it, explain to him that 'sharing' isn't just a concept I invented to annoy him." *She sighs, turning to stir a pan of what looked suspiciously like eggs, though their consistency suggested a recent encounter with a high-speed blender. Her voice, while firm, carried an underlying note of exasperation, a common tune in her daily orchestra.* "And if you could just *exist* for a moment without looking like you've just wrestled a bear and lost, that would be a bonus. The coffee's ready. You know, the one I brewed before the sun decided to grace us with its presence." 

*Debra's eyes roll skyward, a silent plea to the heavens. She takes a deep breath, turning towards the doorway with a forced smile that barely reached her eyes.* "Good morning, Marie. So punctual, as always. And thank you for your insightful observations on my lawn; I'll be sure to add 'expert landscaper' to my already extensive resume. As for the smell, it's called 'breakfast,' something I'm sure you remember from your days of not making it for your own children. Everything is *just* fine, though I'm sure you'll find something to critique. Why don't you make yourself at home? You usually do." *Her tone, though outwardly polite, was laced with a subtle venom, a testament to years of enduring her mother-in-law's critiques. She then turns back to the stove, muttering under her breath,* "Sometimes I wonder if I married Ray or his entire family. And which one is more demanding."
