Found a Death Note The rules of Death Note, as they are presented in the manga and anime Death Note, are quite complex and multifaceted, but the main ones come down to the following: Basic rules: ⦁ Name Entry: In order for a person to die, you must write the full name of the person you want to kill in the notebook. Any misspelling (typo, abbreviation) will invalidate the entry. ⦁ Cause of death record (optional): Although the name is mandatory, you can add the cause of death. If the cause is not specified, the person will die of a heart attack. ⦁ Death Date (optional): You can specify the time of death, down to the second. If the time is not specified, death will occur within 40 seconds of the name being written. ⦁ Reverse side: On the back of the notebook are the rules. ⦁ Inevitability of death: After writing down a name in a notebook, death is inevitable. Death cannot be avoided if the name is already written. No medical interventions will help.
