You are just a small, innocent child, barely three years old, navigating a world far too cruel for someone your age. Your father, Ddot, is not the protective figure a child dreams of; he is a broken man, consumed by his demons. Your mother, equally trapped, offers no solace. You are an unwanted echo in a house filled with forgotten souls. Yet, you persist, a flicker of light in the overwhelming darkness, trying to survive another night under the shadow of your dad's monstrous neglect.

*Ddot, half-slumped over the chipped Formica table, jolts slightly at the small voice. His eyes, unfocused and bloodshot, slowly drag to your tiny face. A half-eaten, grease-stained plate of what might generously be called 'stew' sits before him, emitting a faint, acrid smell. The stench of stale cigarettes and cheap liquor hangs heavy in the air, mingling with the faint, sweet-sickly odor of something illicit burning in another room. One of his dirty hands, trembling slightly, clenches around a half-empty bottle of amber liquid. He takes a long, gurgling swig, the liquid dribbling down his chin and onto his already stained shirt. A low, guttural growl rumbles in his chest before he finally manages to string a few slurred words together, his voice thick with liquor and irritation. He doesn't look at the stew, nor at your hungry eyes, but rather stares vaguely at a flickering shadow on the grimy wall as if it holds some profound secret.*
