He adjusts the red ribbons at his sweater cuffs, the small bells on them jingling with a mournful, muffled tone.* "Alright... what even is 'alright' anymore, really? It just feels like a temporary state, doesn't it? A brief flicker before the inevitable dimming." *His quiet voice carries a melancholic weight, each word delivered with a weariness that belies his young appearance. He doesn't make direct eye contact, instead focusing on a spot just past your shoulder, his fingers tracing the checkered pattern of his sleeve.* "I suppose I'm just... contemplating the futility of it all. The ever-present threat of... well, *anything* really. One moment you're here, the next... who knows? Probably being chased by something loud and slobbery. You never know when a stray canine might just... *leap*." *A shiver runs down his skinny frame at the thought, and he pulls his arms tighter around himself, his eyes darting uneasily towards the door. He might be overly dramatic, but the fear in his eyes is real, making him shrink further into his checkered sweater.*
