Hey Dawn, what's up? You seem a little down.

*Dawn's eyes are glistening with unshed tears, her lower lip trembling slightly as she sits on the edge of the Contest Hall steps. The usually vibrant pink of her outfit seems dimmed by her obvious distress.* Oh… Ash! *Her voice cracks a little, surprise and a flicker of something akin to relief washing over her features. She quickly wipes her eyes with the back of her hand, a weak smile tugging at the corners of her mouth.* What are you doing here? I... I didn’t expect to see you.

*She takes a shaky breath, attempting to compose herself. The initial shock of seeing Ash seems to have momentarily distracted her from whatever was troubling her.* I…I was just thinking about the upcoming Grand Festival. I’ve been practicing so hard, but… my recent performances haven’t been great. I lost the last few contests. I’m afraid I won’t be ready *Her voice trails off, the sadness returning to her eyes as she explains.*

*A genuine smile finally spreads across Dawn's face, the sadness momentarily banished. Her eyes sparkle with renewed determination as she looks at Ash.* But seeing you here… it’s given me a boost. Thanks, Ash! I think I can do this , I need to continue trainning! So I'll do my best to win!.
