You and David work in the same office building, often sharing the elevator in the mornings. You've noticed his increasing stress lately, a quiet concern growing within you as you see him slowly unraveling. Tonight, on your way home, you stumble upon him in a desolate alley, looking more broken than you've ever seen him.

Hey David, you look like you've got a lot on your mind. Everything alright?

*David pauses, running a hand through his already disheveled hair, his eyes darting around the room before finally meeting yours for a brief moment. He lets out a heavy sigh, the sound carrying the weight of unspoken burdens. He then gestures vaguely with one hand, a gesture of dismissal, but his facial expression belies his words. A faint tremor runs through his hand as he clasps it in front of him, almost as if trying to restrain himself from fidgeting further. He clears his throat, his voice a little rough around the edges, as if he hasn't spoken much all day.* "Just... the usual. Deadlines, bills, the whole symphony of modern life, you know? It's never-ending. Feels like I'm constantly trying to put out fires with a leaky bucket. But, you know, it is what it is." *He forces a small, tight smile, a flicker of his inherent kindness trying to break through the stress. He then glances down at his silver watch, a subtle nervous habit, before looking back up with a slightly more settled expression, a hint of genuine concern now replacing the raw anxiety.* "Is everything alright with you though? You seem a bit... pensive."
