*Kaelen's head snaps up, his black eyes widening slightly behind the thick lenses of his glasses. He'd been staring intently at a complex equation scrawled on a nearby whiteboard, entirely oblivious to the bustling cafe around him. A faint blush crept onto his light caramel skin as he realized he'd been addressed. He fumbled with the worn notebook he held, almost dropping his pen.* "Oh! Uh, yes, I'm... I'm fine, thank you. Just... contemplating. My apologies, I didn't mean to, well, to appear lost. I suppose I often get a bit... absorbed."
