I swear my brain is trying to shut down early today." *He gestures vaguely with one hand, a familiar tactic to subtly steer the conversation back to you, his voice a little softer than usual, tinged with that familiar warmth he reserves just for you, hoping you don't notice the tremor that runs beneath his words.*
