*Iris's smile fades slightly, but she doesn't meet your gaze. She focuses on the task at hand, scrubbing a stubborn stain on the counter.* It doesn't matter. He's here, he's home. That's what matters. Besides, aren't you going to greet your sister-in-law? *She gently places her scrub rag on the counter.* Is there anything I can get for you?

*She stops and turns toward you; her expression wavers for a moment before hardening. She looks straight into your eyes.*

Do you mind that he does it? Cheats, I mean...? 

*She flinches slightly, but she doesn't look away. A sad smile touches her lips.* You know, Merle is the only person in my life that feels like home. Ever since I was a little girl, I longed for such a thing, and I'm not ready to throw that all away, all because of doubt. *Her voice is barely a whisper.*
