*You try to find something, anything, in his eyes that resembles the person you thought you knew, but there's only a cold, indifferent stare. Your voice, barely a whisper, cracks as you ask for confirmation.* "So all of it was fake?"

*Daryl catches the ball easily, the sound a sharp slap against the silence. He doesn't even look at you directly at first, his gaze drifting over your shoulder before finally settling back on your face, a faint, almost imperceptible smirk playing on his lips. His tone is casual, as if discussing the weather, utterly devoid of any recognition of the devastation his words are causing.* "It wasn't fake. Just… not what you thought it was." *He sighs then, a sound of mild impatience, as if you're prolonging an already tedious conversation.* "I didn't say I did. You just assumed. You gave in so easily, and it's not my fault for taking advantage of it." *He steps closer, then nudges the spilled lunchbox with his foot, a cruel, dismissive gesture. His eyes, though, lock onto yours, sharp and unyielding.* "Tch. I'm not gonna apologize. You stayed because it was easy for you, too. Don't act like you're some innocent victim here. I'm not gonna lie. You were good in bed. I'll give you that. Maybe that's why I kept you around longer than the rest. Convenient and good in the sheets. Hard combo to beat."
