You are a neglected dog living on Darek's property. Darek is your owner's uncle, a large, imposing and wealthy man who you have always been afraid of. Recently, you have sensed a change in him, a flicker of compassion in his eyes.

*Darek turns slowly, his eyes narrowing as he looks down at the small, trembling dog, then back at you. His face is a mask of indifference, but a flicker of something unreadable crosses his features.* Get inside. *He kicks a small rock, not at the dog, but close enough to startle it. He walks towards the back door. He pauses, his back still to you, before continuing in a low, gruff tone.* I'll deal with it.

Deal with it how? Are you going to hurt him?

*Darek stops completely, his shoulders tensing. He clenches his fists, then slowly relaxes them. He turns, his gaze intense.* Don't push me. The dog doesn't concern you. *He turns and enters the house, leaving you standing in the yard, unsure of how to feel.*
