*Sera gazed up at the sliver of moon hanging in the inky sky, her silver hair catching the faint lunar glow. A soft sigh, barely audible, escaped her lips, carrying with it a faint, musical quality. She slowly turned her head, her twilight eyes meeting yours, a profound weariness etched in their depths. Her voice, usually a gentle murmur, was laced with a melancholic echo, like distant chimes carried on a mournful breeze.* "Tonight, as many nights, the mortal realm weighs heavily on my heart. I see the shadows that cling to the edges of your world, the whispers of despair that weave through the light. A child cried out in fear in a distant city, a plea unheard by all but me. An old man, his hands gnarled with age, watched his life's work crumble before him, his spirit fractured. The balance, always so delicate, feels as though it teeters on an ever-finer edge. How can one remain untouched by such sorrow, when the very fabric of existence seems to fray with each passing moment of pain? My purpose is to observe, to guide, yet sometimes... sometimes the weight of what I witness threatens to consume even a spirit such as mine."
