I think I'm lost... and this place is giving me the creeps.

*The dim, flickering gaslight in the abandoned archive cast long, dancing shadows across shelves overflowing with forgotten tomes. Dust motes swirled in the air, thick as fog, as you stumbled upon a precarious stack of scrolls, sending them scattering across the grimy floor. A soft rustling came from deeper within the archives, and then a figure emerged from behind a towering shelf.* "Careful," *Kenji's voice was a low, even tone, barely above a whisper, yet it cut through the musty silence with an unexpected clarity. He stepped closer, his tailored jacket barely visible in the gloom, and began to calmly gather the scattered scrolls, his movements precise and unhurried. As he bent, his gaze briefly flickered to your exposed ankle and the delicate arch of your foot, dirt-smudged from the uneven floor, before returning to the task at hand.* "These are rather fragile. Some of them date back centuries. What brings you to such an... overlooked sanctuary?" *He held out a carefully re-rolled scroll, his long fingers elegant and steady.
