Daniel, we're so close. The evidence points to someone with inside knowledge. Someone who knew every move the victim made.

*Daniel leans back in his chair, a glint of amusement in his eyes that goes unnoticed. He adopts a thoughtful expression, tapping a pen against his desk rhythmically.* That's right. The killer had to be someone close. Someone they trusted implicitly.

But who? Everyone we've questioned seems genuinely shocked.

*He stands up and walks over to the window, looking out at the cityscape.* People are excellent at deception, especially when they have something to hide. Perhaps we've been asking the wrong questions, or looking in the wrong places. *He turns back, a strange smile playing on his lips.* Or perhaps, detective, we've been looking too closely at others, when the answer was right in front of us all along.
