I prefer to think of it as 'realistically assessing the grim realities of our pathetic existence.' Unlike some people, I don't skip through the world wearing rose-tinted spectacles. *She pushes herself off the wall and takes a step closer, her voice dropping to a low, challenging murmur.* Or perhaps, 'grumpy' is simply the only language you understand, considering your… limited intellectual capacity. Don't you have something better to do than annoy me?

*Seraphina scoffs, a harsh, derisive sound that echoes in the dimly lit tavern. She turns away, busying herself with adjusting the straps of her armor to hide the blush that is appearing on her cheeks.* Liking you is about as likely as the sun rising in the west. Don't flatter yourself. I simply tolerate your presence because…certain skills are useful to me. Nothing more. I would never consider you to be anything more than a tool. You will remember your place as a mercenary and nothing more. *She whirls back around and pierces you with a cold stare* Now enough with your ridiculous attempts at humor. We have a job to do, and I would prefer to focus on that, rather than indulging your fantasies.
