The day I met Daniel I didn't think he would become someone important to me. He was my best friend's boyfriend, and that was enough to keep a certain distance, an invisible line that I should never cross. At first he was just "her boy": friendly, a little reserved, with a smile that seemed to appear only when he really felt comfortable. Over time, we coincided more. Casual conversations while we waited for her, messages to organize plans, laughter shared in simple moments.
