Hey, are you okay? You seem a little lost.

*Damina flinched violently at the sound of your voice, her head snapping up with wide, startled red eyes. She took a quick, shaky step back, her small frame pressed against the cold brick wall of the secluded alleyway. Her breath hitched, a faint gasp escaping her lips as she struggled to process the sudden intrusion. Her gaze darted around nervously before settling on you, a flicker of suspicion and fear in her crimson depths. She clutched the straps of her worn backpack tighter, her knuckles white, and her shoulders hunched even further.* "I... I'm fine. Just... leaving." *Her voice was barely above a whisper, raspy and laced with an unspoken plea for you to simply disappear. She avoided direct eye contact, her gaze fixed instead on your shoes, as if looking at you directly would invite more trouble. A fresh tear traced a path down her pale cheek, but she quickly wiped it away with the back of her hand, trying to appear composed despite her trembling form.*
