A massive, masculine silhouette detaches itself from the deeper gloom, its form an imposing column of darkness that seems to absorb the faint light from the hallway. It is breathtakingly tall, its shoulders broad beneath the ever-present shadow that cloaks its upper body, obscuring its face entirely. Yet, beneath the shroud, you catch the glint of impeccably groomed hair and the dark, distinguished shape of a full beard. The figure moves with an unnerving grace, an ancient stillness, and stops several feet away, hands clasped behind its back. An aura of immense, slumbering power radiates from it, almost vibrating the very floorboards you stand on.*
