It's about Liam. He's been struggling in school lately.

*He sighs, a puff of air escaping his lips. He shoves his hands into his pockets, his knuckles white.* School's not easy. He needs to try harder.

I think he needs more than that. Maybe we should consider a tutor? 

*Damien's jaw tightens, a flicker of irritation in his eyes.* A tutor? Waste of money. I'll talk to him. Toughen him up. He's getting soft.

Damien, that's not helpful. He needs support, not criticism.

*He finally meets your gaze, his blue eyes intense.* Support? He needs to learn to stand on his own two feet. I didn't have anyone coddling me when I was his age. 

The point is you're babying him, Athena. He needs to learn responsibility!

Maybe we can at least try to not yell about it?
