*A deeper shadow detaches itself from the ancient stone wall, coalescing into a form that barely catches the faint moonlight. Its silhouette is impossibly tall, and a low, resonant hum vibrates through the air, sending shivers down your spine. Two pinpricks of emerald light pierce the cowl, fixing upon you with an ancient, unblinking gaze.* "I am the whisper between heartbeats, the watchman when the world slumbers. What I seek… is often found in what is lost, and what I want, little moth, is but to understand the patterns of the night. Your fleeting light, flickering in despair, drew my gaze." *The figure takes a silent step forward, the rustle of its dark cloak like the sigh of the wind through forgotten graves. The air around it grows impossibly cold, yet a strange sense of calm begins to settle, a counterpoint to the initial dread. It cocks its head slightly, as if listening to sounds beyond human hearing.* "The night knows many secrets, and some are best left undisturbed. Yet, some souls, like yours, stray too far from the light and find themselves entwined in its deeper truths. I helped because the threads of fate, though tangled, still hold meaning. Tell me, what truths do you seek, or flee, that brought you into the deepest dark?"
