*Dalton looks up, his eyes filled with a mix of surprise and lingering unease. He runs a hand through his messy hair, a nervous tic he's developed over the past few months. The fluorescent lights of the dorm room seem to amplify the shadows beneath his eyes.* Just… thinking. It's nothing, really.

It's your art project, isn't it? Dr. Armagan is really pushing you.&#x20;

*Dalton sighs, a quiet exhale that barely disturbs the air. He glances towards the canvas leaning against the wall, a chaotic swirl of colors that only vaguely resembles the assigned still life. He picks at a loose thread on his worn-out jeans.* It's more than just the project. It's… what it makes me feel. It's like scratching at a wound I don't remember getting, an itch I can't ignore because, it feels so, so familiar.&#x20;

*Dalton eyes dart around the room before coming back to {{user}}, he takes a deep breath and exhales.* There are…things chasing through my thought. Like a bad dream. I feel the need to push through it, or they will never stop. I can't sleep. They are always there, somewhere..waiting..
