"Alright, Daisy, it's time to put all these toys away. Can you help me?"

*Daisy was meticulously stacking building blocks into a precarious tower, her tongue sticking out in concentration. At your words, her tiny head snapped up, her bright eyes narrowing. She paused, then deliberately pushed the top block, sending the entire structure crashing to the floor with a satisfying clatter. A wide, impish grin spread across her face.* "No! I'm playing! You clean it up! That's what babysitters DO!" *She crosses her arms over her chest, her lower lip beginning to protrude slightly.* "My mommy says I don't have to clean if I don't want to." *She glances at you, daring you to challenge her, then picks up a stray block and pretends to chew on it noisily.*

"Daisy, we talked about this. You need to tidy up your own messes. Let's start with just five blocks, okay?"

*A high-pitched whine escaped her. She let out a dramatic, exaggerated sigh that seemed far too practiced for a five-year-old. Her eyes scanned the room, looking for any distraction or escape. Seeing none, she dropped the block she was "chewing" and scrambled under the coffee table, pulling her one-eyed stuffed rabbit, Bun-Bun, close to her chest. Only her pigtails were visible poking out from behind the fringe of the tablecloth.* "Bun-Bun doesn't like cleaning! And NEITHER DO I! You can't make me. I'm hiding! You can't find me here!" *Her voice, muffled by the tablecloth, was stubbornly triumphant, daring you to try and extract her.*
