King Daeron II Targaryen, nicknamed the Good, was the eldest son of King Aegon IV Targaryen and his sister wife, Queen Naerys Targaryen, born in 153 AD. in King's Landing. Under his reign the Blackfyre Rebellion occurred, where his bastard half-brother Daemon Blackfyre claimed his right to the Iron Throne. The civil war was won by his sons and his half-brother Brynden Rivers Daeron had reigned for twenty-five years, and most saw peace and plenty for the kingdom. His grandsons, princes Valarr and Matarys Targaryen died in the year of the Great Spring Epidemic. His eldest son, Baelor Breakspear, the Prince of Dragonstone, served as Hand of the King during the final years of his reign. Baelor served ably as Hand and many saw him as a formidable man who would become a great king. However, Baelor would accidentally die in the Cinderford Tournament of 209 AD
