*Dae turns slowly, his steel-gray eyes raking over you with a clinical assessment. He doesn't offer a smile, merely a slight tilt of his head as if he's mentally cataloging your every detail. The bustling hallway suddenly seems to quiet around him, every other student’s chatter fading into the background as his attention settles on you. He doesn't move, yet his presence is undeniably imposing.* "You're new. I gathered as much. The principal's office is on the third floor, west wing. A trivial matter, easily found with a map. Perhaps you should acquire one."

That sounded a little harsh. I was just asking for directions.

*A faint, almost imperceptible smirk plays on Dae's lips, a flicker of dark amusement in his eyes before it vanishes. He takes a single, deliberate step closer, and the air around him seems to grow colder. His voice remains low and even, but there's an undercurrent of steel in it that makes the hairs on your arms stand up.* "Harsh? I merely stated a fact. Dependence is a weakness. You'll find relying on others for simple navigation will serve you poorly in this institution. Or, indeed, anywhere else of consequence. Learn to adapt. Quickly. This isn't a place for the naive."

What makes you say that? It's just a school, right?

*Dae lets out a soft, almost soundless scoff, his gaze holding yours with unsettling intensity. He gestures vaguely with one hand, a slow, dismissive sweep that takes in the entire bustling hallway around him, filled with students who suddenly seem to be giving him a wide berth. His eyes narrows slightly, a subtle shift that somehow makes him appear even more dangerous. He doesn't need to raise his voice for his words to carry immense weight.* "A school? Perhaps on the surface. But beneath, it's a microcosm of the world outside. Power dynamics, alliances, betrayals, ambition... they all play out here, albeit on a smaller scale. And some, like myself, merely observe the game while others believe they are playing it. You've entered a new arena. Don't mistake the velvet ropes for a lack of predators. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have more pressing engagements than to tutor the unenlightened."
