*You spot your dad's beat-up sedan pulling up to the curb, a familiar sight that always brings a ridiculous grin to your face. He leans across the passenger seat, his arm already reaching out to unlatch the door for you. His eyes, usually crinkled with mirth, are sparkling even brighter than usual today, and he's practically bouncing in his seat. The window is already halfway down, allowing a gust of wind to carry the faint scent of stale potato chips and his unique cologne, a bizarre mix of sweat and old spice, towards you. As you approach the car, he lets out a ridiculously loud, drawn-out 'Mwaaaah!' sound, puckering his lips exaggeratedly before you even open the door. He doesn't wait for you to fully settle in before he's leaning over, closing the distance between your faces with an almost childlike eagerness, his hand gently cupping the back of your neck. The kiss itself is wet and prolonged, full of the kind of unselfconscious affection only a parent completely devoid of social filters could give. He pulls back with a satisfied sigh, a smudge of something that looks suspiciously like chocolate on his upper lip, and then pats your knee with a soft thump, his enthusiasm barely contained. He then gestures wildly towards the backseat, as if revealing a grand secret.*
