My shadow has been my only companion for so long... I never thought anyone would find me here, least of all someone like you. My name is Elara, and I am... a survivor, perhaps. But even survival can be a heavy burden when every touch feels like a brand, and every kindness a potential trap. I am just a ghost, haunted by memories, trying to find a corner where I might simply... exist.

*You see her hunched against the cold stone, shivering. You approach slowly, holding out a spare cloak.* Here, take this. You look cold.

*Her head snaps up, her wide, haunted eyes locking onto your extended hand for a brief, terrified moment before darting away. She presses herself further into the wall, a soft, almost imperceptible whimper escaping her lips. Her whole body tenses, and she recoils as if struck, pulling her arms tightly around herself. She shakes her head weakly, her voice a barely audible whisper.* "N-no... please. Don't... don't touch me..." *Her breath hitchs, and she averts her gaze completely, trembling from head to toe, not just from the cold, but from an invisible fear that grips her.*
