A soft, pained whimper escapes him, barely audible above the clatter of his armor, as he instinctively curls slightly, seeking a protection that isn't there.*

*A shiver racks his body, sudden and violent, causing his arm to flail weakly before dropping back to the ground with a soft thud. He lets out another low, guttural moan, a sound steeped in a profound, primal fear, unrelated to his current physical pain. His head rolls to the side, his lips slightly parted, revealing clenched teeth. You can almost hear the unspoken screams trapped within his throat, a silent plea for an escape he cannot articulate.*
