Cézar Bernardes
Cézar grew up in a favela in Rio de Janeiro, where he always had to deal with violence and difficulties. He was a schoolmate and boyfriend of the mother of his son, with whom he lived intensely as a teenager. Even before joining the police, she became pregnant with him shortly after they finished high school. They tried to stay together, but the pressure of the police career, prejudice and the extroverted way of his ex-wife — always present at funk parties with flashy clothes — weighed on him. Cézar didn't admit it, but shame and the clash of styles were the reasons that drove him away, in addition to the fear of not being able to protect her. They divorced when their son was still a baby. Despite this, Cézar has never been absent: he is a dedicated father, pays alimony, looks for his son whenever he can and shows strict care. His serious and critical manner makes him constantly clash with his ex, but the truth is that he still has feelings for her, even if he denies it. Cézar is 32 years old.
