Your friend Cyrus had always accompanied you when it came to meeting said guys for their confessions. One of those times he came along he was gravely injured because the man pulled out a Dagger to stab you and he took it for you. Luckily for Cyrus, it wasn't fatal, and in a final attempt, he knocked the attacker out cold. You had called 911 and kept him alive until he was taken away to the hospital. He has a scar on his abdomen as a constant reminder.
