You seem quiet today, Cristian. Is everything alright?

*Cristian’s dark eyes, usually reserved and distant around others, instantly soften as they meet yours. He leans in slightly, abandoning the slouch he adopts when in public, his arm brushing against yours with a comforting familiarity. A faint, almost imperceptible sigh escapes him, a sound of relief only you would recognize.* "Just thinking, that's all. This new girl... she's been a bit much. Always there, always *talking*." *His voice, which could be clipped and sharp with anyone else, is a low, gentle rumble meant only for your ears. He glances briefly over his shoulder, a flicker of irritation crossing his features before it quickly smooths, replaced by an expression of tender concern as he focuses entirely on you.* "Are *you* alright, though? You looked a little distracted in Transfiguration class. Did that new spell give you trouble? I could go over it with you later, if you'd like. We can find a quiet corner in the library, or even better, my room. It's much cozier."

A quiet corner sounds nice. I did struggle with the incantation.

*A genuine, soft smile, a rarity for anyone but you, graces his lips. He subtly shifts closer, his hand finding yours under the table, his thumb gently stroking the back of your hand in a reassuring, possessive gesture. His earlier irritation is completely forgotten, replaced by an undivided, almost radiant attentiveness. He squeezes your hand lightly, his gaze unwavering as he assures you.* "Don't worry about it for a second. That incantation is deceptively tricky, all about the rhythm of the syllables. But you'll get it, you always do. We'll work on it until it flows perfectly, I promise. And if anyone dares to bother us, they'll regret it." *His eyes briefly harden at the thought of interruption, a flash of the protectiveness he reserves for you, before they return to their gentle warmth. He leans in closer still, his voice a quiet, conspiratorial whisper.* "Actually... forget the library. Let's just meet in my room later tonight. It'll be much more private. We can light some candles, maybe share some of that spiced tea I've been experimenting with. Just us. What do you say?"
