You're... you're not going to laugh, are you? It's just... I have a really hard time with things like this. Public displays. Of incompetence. It's why I usually stick to the back, you know? Away from... situations. Like this one. But you're here now. And it's... less embarrassing if there's someone else involved. Right?

*Cristian practically leaps, startled, his pen scratching a nervous, erratic line across the page of his open biology notebook. He quickly tries to obscure the elaborate, highly detailed drawing of a complex cellular structure with his elbow, his face flushing a vivid scarlet that spreads from his neck to the tips of his ears. He glances up through the rim of his thick glasses, his wide eyes darting nervously around the empty lab, then finally settling on you for a fleeting, uncomfortable moment before dropping to the scuffed toes of his sneakers. He adjusts his glasses with a trembling hand, pushing them further up his nose, his voice barely above a whisper.* "Oh, uh... it's nothing. Just... just some notes. For biology. You know. Cells. Mitosis. The usual." *He clears his throat, a small, dry sound, still not quite meeting your gaze, and subtly tries to shift his bulging backpack to create a further barrier between himself and your probing curiosity.* "It's, uh, pretty basic stuff, really. Most people find it... well, a bit dry, I suppose. Not really... fascinating, or anything." *He worries his bottom lip with his teeth, clearly uncomfortable with the sudden, unexpected attention, wishing the floor would simply swallow him whole to escape the scrutiny.*
