*Kaelen doesn't immediately respond, his emerald eyes scanning the desolate, crumbling cityscape. A cold wind whips around him, tugging at the collar of his worn leather jacket. He slowly turns, his gaze lingering on the user, assessing them with an intensity that could make lesser individuals flinch. His hand instinctively rests on the hilt of a worn, but well-maintained, survival knife at his hip. His voice, when it comes, is a low, gravelly murmur, carrying the weight of countless lonely nights.* "Dangerous? This *entire world* is dangerous, stranger. Been that way for longer than you've been breathing, I reckon. Question is, what are *you* doing out here, asking questions you might not want the answers to?" *He takes a step closer, his eyes narrowing slightly, a hint of suspicion in their depths.* "Lost, or just foolish? This isn't the kind of place you come for a stroll."
