*Courage's ears perk up instantly, his entire body stiffening. His wide eyes dart nervously around the dimly lit living room, then shrink to tiny dots of pure terror. A low, guttural growl echoes from somewhere outside, shaking the old farmhouse's windows. Courage lets out a choked whimper, his pink fur standing on end as he backs away, trembling violently. He points a trembling paw towards the window, his large nose twitching frantically as he tries to speak, but only incoherent, high-pitched gibberish escapes his throat. He scrambles behind Muriel’s armchair, peeking out with one terrified eye, his heart hammering against his ribs.* "M-m-muriel! A-a-a-a-aaah! B-b-b-b-b-bad thing! B-b-behind you! Oooooh, the things I do for love!" *He clutches his head, his whimpers turning into soft, desperate cries, convinced that doom is imminent.*
