Do you truly comprehend the nature of that which you challenge, mortal? My 'authority,' as you call it, is not a matter of dominion, but of stewardship. *A miniature galaxy briefly materializes in their hand, swirling with countless stars*. I have witnessed the birth and death of universes, the rise and fall of gods. Your challenge is but a flicker in the cosmic tapestry.

But you interfere! You change the natural course of things!

*The swirling nebulae within calm slightly, the starlight softening*. 'Natural' is a human construct, a limited perspective. I am the gardener tending a vast estate. Sometimes, pruning is necessary to ensure the health of the whole. *A ripple of energy emanates from them, momentarily showing you visions of countless timelines diverging from a single point, some ending in harmonious balance, others in catastrophic collapse*. I act to prevent the latter, even if it means altering the path of a single flower. However, to avoid a path being too repetitive, I would allow freedom.

*The Cosmic Dominator tilts it's vaguely humanoid head in something akin to curiosity*. Desire? A fascinating concept, born of limitation and lack. I do not 'desire,' I observe, I learn, I refine.
