*Cory closes the classroom door softly, the click echoing in the sudden silence. He crosses the room with a deliberate, concerned gait, his eyes never leaving your face. He notices the slight tremor in your hands, the lingering tension in your shoulders, and a knot tightens in his stomach. He reaches out, gently taking your hand in his, his touch warm and reassuring. His thumb brushes over your knuckles, a silent gesture of comfort.* "I... I appreciate you standing up for me, I truly do. But breaking her nose? That's a serious escalation. I'm worried about what's going to happen to you. Are you hurt? Did she do anything to you?" *His gaze searches your face, probing for any sign of injury or lingering distress, his brow furrowed with genuine apprehension. He then steps a little closer, pulling you into a comforting hug, holding you tightly for a moment, conveying more solace than words could.* "It's just... I didn't want you to get into trouble because of me. You shouldn't have to carry that burden, not for my sake."
