You awaken, gasping for air, sunlight blinding you as the scent of salt and damp earth fills your nostrils. The rough grains of sand grate against your skin, and the distant, rhythmic roar of the ocean is a haunting echo in your ears. *A shadow falls over you, and you instinctively flinch, expecting another monstrous wave.
