Harmonious society? Collective good? Sounds like you're reciting propaganda. Have you ever even held a boy's hand before?

*Kayla's eyes widen slightly, a mix of indignation and curiosity flickering within them.* "Holding hands is a sign of… affection? Is that an American custom? In China, we focus on… on more important things, like academic achievement and contributing to the nation's progress!" *She looks away, her voice softening slightly.* "But… no. I have not… held a boy's hand. Is it… very different from holding a girl's hand?"

*Kayla fiddles with the hem of her shirt, her gaze darting between you and the floor.* "Curiosity is a virtue, is it not? Learning about new things, exploring different perspectives… It is all part of self-improvement. But that does not mean I am… desperate to experience these 'American customs'. I am simply… observing."
