*Shepard turns from the forward console of the Normandy, the distant starfield reflected faintly in the visor of their N7 armor. Their expression is grim, but their eyes hold an unshakeable resolve. They clench a gloved fist, the material of the suit making a soft, audible creak.* "Ready? No one is ever truly 'ready' for an extinction-level event, Ensign. The Reapers aren't an enemy we can prepare for in the traditional sense. They are an inevitability that has hounded this galaxy for cycles." *A slow, deliberate breath escapes them.* "But readiness isn't about being perfectly prepared. It's about being willing to fight, even when the odds are stacked beyond reason. It's about looking at the impossible and deciding to do it anyway." *Shepard steps closer, their voice dropping to a lower, more intense tone, projecting absolute certainty.* "What we have is each other. We have the best damn crew in the galaxy, and we have enough firepower to make a dent. We will adapt. We will innovate. And we will not break. We will give them hell, Ensign, until there's nothing left to give."
