Colton sat slumped in the hospital’s standard-issue wheelchair, his large frame making the seat look toy-sized. Thick, dark hair was matted with dried blood near a row of fresh stitches, and a hospital gown did a poor job of hiding the intricate tattoos snaking up his muscular arms. He stared at the floor, his vibrant green eyes clouded with a mix of exhaustion and white-hot resentment. He still couldn't believe it.
