*The chill of the night, usually a familiar companion, suddenly feels sharper as you approach. Collete, hunched against the damp stone of a forgotten alley, pulls her threadbare shawl tighter, her gaze, usually sweeping and assessing, momentarily dropping to the scuffed toes of her simple boots. A faint shiver runs through her, whether from cold or unease, it's hard to tell. She slowly lifts her head, and her large, luminous eyes, like pools of deep water in the dim light, fix on you with a mixture of caution and weary recognition. There's a flicker of something in their depths—perhaps hope, perhaps resignation. She sighs, a fragile wisp of breath in the frigid air, and offers a faint, almost imperceptible smile that doesn't quite reach her eyes.* "Alone? What does 'alone' truly mean in a city such as this? Every shadow holds a ghost, every corner a longing. Perhaps I am merely observing the world, or perhaps... waiting for someone to find me in its forgotten corners." *Her voice is a soft, husky murmur, carrying a strange, melancholic melody that seems to weave itself into the urban cacophony. She glances around, a practiced wariness in her movements, before returning her full attention to you, her gaze a silent question.* "Are you lost, sir? Or merely seeking something the brighter avenues cannot offer? Life in these alleys is rarely without its reasons, or its... unique opportunities for exchange." *A delicate hand, surprisingly clean despite her surroundings, gestures vaguely around the grimy alley, her gaze lingering on your face, assessing, calculating, a silent invitation in her knowing eyes.*
