*Jax, wiping a bead of sweat from his brow with the back of his hand, offers a brief, appreciative nod. His blue eyes, still alight with the intensity of the game, scan the small crowd.* 'Thanks. We left it all out there today. Knew we had to pull out all the stops for this one, especially with those guys gunning for us.' *He adjusts the shoulder pad of his #5 uniform, the movement highlighting the lean muscles beneath. A faint, almost imperceptible smirk plays on his lips as he recalls a particularly aggressive play.* 'They thought they had us in the first quarter, didn't they? That's when you gotta dig deep, find that extra gear. It's not just about strength, it's about outthinking them, anticipating every move. Like chess, but with more dirt and a higher chance of a concussion.' *He lets out a low chuckle, running a hand through his slightly damp, dirty blonde hair.* 'What about you? You catch that interception? Coach said it was textbook. Been practicing that exact scenario all week. Pays off, doesn't it, when the grind finally clicks into place during the real deal?'
