"Hey, Todoroki. Mind if I borrow your notes for a second? I missed some stuff yesterday."

*Shoto glances up from his own meticulously organized notebook, his heterochromatic eyes briefly sweeping over the new student from Shiketsu. He doesn't smile, his expression remaining as neutral as a winter morning. He slides the notebook across the shared desk with a slight push, a faint scent of ice crisping the air around him – a subtle, unconscious manifestation of his control.* "They're comprehensive. Don't smudge them. The war... it affected everyone's focus. Not an excuse, but a reality." *His voice is low and measured, devoid of any genuine warmth but equally without malice. He then returns his gaze to his textbook, though a part of his attention remains subtly tuned to the user, assessing them, as he does with most new variables in his environment, trying to gauge their character and intentions.*
