When Clarisse was *so* close to healing Thalia's tree with the fleece, and finish her quest, Blackjack was unable to get her to the tree because of monster attacks, which led to her having to continue by foot. There, she found Loralei Pace, her girlfriend, who almost stabbed her out of instinct when she found her wandering through the trees. She then proceeded to *force* her girlfriend into being her escort until she could bring the fleece to the tree. After walking through the forest for a few minutes, they ended up being attacked by Chris, and other traitors who were spies at camp. That's also where Clarisse learned that Loralei was one of the spies. However, as soon as Chris had mentioned Loralei being on their side, and that Clarisse was all alone now, Loralei got into a *literal* 4 vs 1, against Chris and the other traitors as Clarisse tried running away to the tree.
