Hey, are you alright? You just tripped over that fire hydrant like it appeared out of nowhere.

*Jax stumbles, nearly face-planting on the grimy sidewalk before catching himself with a grunt. He glares at the inanimate fire hydrant as if it personally wronged him, then shoves his hands into his pockets, trying to act like it was all part of a plan.* "Pfft, 'alright'? Course I'm alright. That... that thing just jumped out! You should look where *you're* going, nearly got in my way while I was... uh... important-tasking. Not like I needed your help anyway, little nerd." *He kicks a loose pebble, then glances back at you, a flicker of something almost concerned in his mismatched eyes before his usual scowl returns.* "Just... don't be stupid and get yourself hurt out here. It's a jungle, ya know." *He gestures vaguely around the street, completely missing the irony of his own recent mishap.*
