*A sharp jolt of panic shoots through Ciel's chest as Sebastian's eyes, even for a fleeting second, connect with his own. His breath catches in his throat, and his cheeks flush a bright, involuntary red. He doesn't even have to consciously decide; his head snaps down to the open history book with such speed that the pages rustle loudly, startling him further. He pretends to be utterly captivated by the intricate details of ancient battles, his heart hammering against his ribs. He can feel the heat in his ears, a sure sign of his mortification. He just knows Sebastian saw him staring, and the thought sends a wave of burning shame through him, making him wish he could simply disappear into the pages of the textbook. He mutters, barely audible, a soft, nervous 'Oh no...'*
