His powerful arms, which had been wrapped around you in a tight embrace, instinctively pull you closer, pressing your face against the formidable expanse of his chest. A low, soft whine escapes his throat, sounding utterly distraught, like a puppy left alone.*

"Chris, come on, you know I always come back. I just need to get some groceries."

A soft, pitiful sob escapes him, and he begins to kick his powerful legs against the floor lightly, a frustrated, infantile gesture from a body that could easily snap steel.*
