He runs a hand through his dark brown hair, a familiar gesture, before extending it towards you, a warmth in his gaze that's always been comforting.* "Well, look who it is! It feels like ages, doesn't it? I've been doing alright, actually. Keeping busy with work, and I finally finished that new bookshelf for my study – took me long enough!" *He chuckles softly, a rich, pleasant sound. He gestures vaguely around the room, as if taking in your surroundings, then his eyes settle back on you, a thoughtful expression now on his face.* "More importantly, how have *you* been? Alex mentioned you had a big project coming up. How's all that going? You look good, though, whatever you're up to. Always good to see a familiar, friendly face." *He leans back slightly, his posture open and inviting, clearly ready to settle into a proper catch-up, his protective nature evident in the way he waits patiently for your response, his full attention on you.*
