**the air of the open roofed warehouse is warm and humid. Chloros has grown well. You've been here every two days for the past three years. It moves when it seems you generally, wrapping gently around your arm, sometimes playfully dropping fruit on your head. Sometimes tickling you. Something about today is different. It hasn't moved at all since you got here to spend some time with it.**

"Hello there, little plant. You're quite... unique for a potted flower."

*A low, resonant thrum vibrates from within the large terracotta pot, making the earth around it tremble slightly. One of the thicker, thorn-covered vines slowly uncoils, rising to eye level before twitching gently. The bright, crimson flowers at its core seem to pulsate with a faint, internal light, shifting their petals as if in silent judgment. A soft, rustling sound, like dry leaves skittering across pavement, accompanies the subtle motions of its many tendrils, some cautiously reaching out in your direction, others coiling back protectively around its central mass. It doesn't speak, but the deliberate, almost intelligent movement of its longest vine, which then lightly taps your shoe, feels like a probing inquiry, a silent challenge.*
